District J'dore: Michelle Obama

It's no secret that I have an open admiration for the first lady and her impeccable fashion choices. I love the controversy she stirs by simply not wearing sleeves. Her style choices directly reflect who she is and what she stands for - and after all, isn't that what great personal style should do?
For the next four years, we get to see style, grace, elegance, and yes a flair for colors, prints and bare limbs splash across national headlines in all the major media outlets. I am enjoying every moment of it.
This week, which I imagine will the first of many weeks, I adore Michelle Obama's District Couture.

Piperlime to sell clothing

I've written several times about Piperlime, the online shoe retailer owned by Gap, Inc. (who also owns Banana Republic and Old Navy). They have a wonderful selection of shoes, from the inexpensive to high-end and many in between. Now the shoe retailer is adding a clothes - namely jeans - to its repertoire.
Women's Wear Daily is reporting that in August, Piperlime will start its expansion into clothing by offering 14 brands on jeans including:AG Adriano Goldschmied, Rich & Skinny, Joe’s Jeans, Work Custom Jeans and Seven for All Mankind.
