DC Business & Fashion Event to Help Disadvantage Women Find "Success in Style"

On Saturday, June 13 at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C. the "Work the Office, Spice the Interview, Impress the Client" business and fashion event will take place from 6pm - 9pm. Proceeds from the event will go to Success in Style, a D.C. nonprofit who provides free, stylish business attire to low-income and disadvantaged area women to help give them the poise and confidence needed to land a great job and feel good about themselves.
The event will highlight how business attire can and should be fashionable, attendees will learn business fashion etiquette and will feature types to create a chic, professional wardrobe.
As I've written about before, Washington is not known for its style. Many of us have "serious" jobs and fall into the basic black work uniform - or worse yet, don't really take the time to care about putting together a great outfit.
It's not just about looking good. Great personal style translates into all areas of our lives, from our careers, where we want to impress our bosses and clients, to being respected among our peers, and launching the next step in our careers.
This event will address tips on how to dress for varied career scenarios and will feature local designers who will showcase workplace fashions.
Come for the fashion, fun, swag bags and most importantly to help local women define their careers one outfit at a time!
