A sign of things to come: Dolce & Gabbana

Since I've been writing about Dolce & Gabbana frequently and I'm experiencing severe cabin fever (the doctor gave me a prescription for spring fashion), I thought I'd share some of my favorite most recent photo shoots of the designer duo's new spring collection. They're going back to basics with their signature floral prints and corsettes, and for good reason. This spring, fashion is going to be all about, as Nina Garcia recently said, "don't worry, be happy." After all, the best way out of  gloom and doom is through bright colors and happy clothes that say "it's time for a change."

From Marie Claire: Bodysuit, $1,395, pants, $1,195, shoes, $625, Dolce & Gabbana; earrings, $280, Fenton.

Ashley Greene and her Twilight Saga character Alice Cullen seem to share the same love of fashion. Ashley looks stunning and powerful with her hair high and tight, symbolizing a juxtaposition between strength and softness, something we should be seeing a lot of on the runways coming up at New York Fashion Week.

From Vogue: Dolce & Gabbana floral silk-and-nylon bodysuit and pencil skirt. De Beers diamond earrings. Christian Louboutin heels.

Rachel McAdams, such a natural beauty, embodies an Old Hollywood starlet is this gorgeous satin floral corsette dress. The sky high embellished pumps and couture pose signify a movement in the industry to reinvent existing sillhouettes.
